How many times have you been browsing the web, or searching for a product to by, only to find that a few days later you are being presented ads about the exact product you have been searching for?

It is undeniable that ads like these, that present items that you have already been looking at, are very effective.

If you have a business that sells product or services, it is really easy for you to set up an Facebook Ad campaign that will work in a similar manner for visitors to your website.  This is done by installing a Facebook Pixel on your website from Facebook Developers.

Firstly, if you’re not sure what a pixel is, it’s a piece of Javascript code that gets placed on the pages of your website.  It allows you to measure, optimise and build audiences for your Facebook ads.  Now, I know for some of you your eyes just glazed over, but don't worry, we make it super simple to create this code and implement on your website.

What does a Pixel do?

When a website visitor comes to your website who has an active Facebook session open in their web browser, the Facebook Pixel will jump into action and record that this visitor has visited your website.  It will then register this person in an "Advertising Audience" list that we can set up for you on Facebook which you can then use to target ads to people who have visited your website.

The pixel can be even more tricky - you can track whether the website visitor has already made a purchase on your website, or if they visited a "specific page" on your website, and by knowing this, you can then target specific ads to people that you know who have visited specific pages on your website.

Pixels and Security

At no time does Facebook expose any personally identifiable information about the website visitor - the "targetting" of the ads are all done on Facebook's servers, and this is done extremely securely.

How to implement it on your website

We provide a fixed price installation to create the pixel and deploy the required updates to implement on your website.  This includes any customisable tracking that you might want to deploy.   We can also assist with the creation of any custom artwork for you to use in your Facebook Ads.
