The Number Factory is now live

We are always actively looking at different ways we can add value to our clients' websites, and one such way is by providing complementary SEO checkups on existing websites.   We mentioned this in an earlier post, but in case you missed it, you can catch up here.

Last month, we did an SEO checkup on our accountant's website - The Number Factory - and noticed that despite all Lexi's hard work in marketing her business through social media, she was actually not getting much traction in terms of rankings on Search Engines like Google.  So we looked a little deeper, and found a number of opportunities which will significantly improve her search engine rankings.

At the time of writing this post, The Number Factory website does not rank at all within the first 100 results on Google for "Bacchus Marsh Accountant", so we have set ourselves a target to not rest until "The Number Factory" is ranked #1 on Google for the term "Bacchus Marsh Accountant".  It is a big ask - but we are confident that we can turn around Lexi's online marketing and get her business featured prominently on Google Search - without resorting to using Google Adwords.  So keep an eye on our blog posts, and we will keep you all informed of our progress.

To start the process, we threw away her old website - it was cumbersome for Lexi to maintain - so we replaced it with a new Wordpress website template.  Using a template ensured that the website development costs were kept low (we didn't want to break the bank with this project), so we selected an off-the-shelf template that really aligned with the content that needed to be published on the website and got to work customising it to align it with the existing branding of The Number Factory.

As part of the process, we migrated a fair amount of content that was posted to the site in image form.  While using images can be a good way to get your content laid out in a good fashion, it actually has a negative affect on your search engine results because the Search engines don't actually index the text written inside the images.

The website has now been published and it is now ready for the first index by Google - we have submitted the website and are waiting for the first results to come in.

Stay tuned, we can't wait to let you know once the SEO rankings start to change.   In the meantime, please check out the new website at

...and if you are looking for an accountant, we can't recommend Lexi and The Number Factory enough.  :-)
